The Men sealed their first win of the season with a strong defensive display and two well worked goals that sent the Fifers back across the Tay with nothing to show for their efforts. It was a tight game with chances for both teams in the first half but a lack of composure in front of goal kept the game goals at half time. The Hill turned the screw in the first half and pressed for the opening goal. It came from the stick of Connor Chapman. A brilliant post up inside the circle, a perfect trap and a well executed reverse stick hit rocketed past the Dunfermline keeper's helmet to open the scoring. The game was then end to end until the closing few minutes when Luke Cranny took the ball to his left and sent a short corner strike hard and low on reverse that was initially saved only to fall to Ollie Hall who rattled the post with the rebound. Findlay Duncan was well placed at the back post to fire the ball over the line and seal the win for his team. It was a well contested game that could have gone either way but after some well defended short corners from Stevie McIlravey and his team the boys ended the game strongly grabbing both goals in the 2nd half. A good confidence building win and they will take it into next Saturday's Derby, 11:30am at Dalnacraig. Get along and support the team!
