The #mightytwos were delighted to be kickstarting the season with a friendly match v Harris prior to the first league match next week. The team got off to a great start and in the first 10 minutes dominated possession with some excellent passing hockey. Great passing out the back, midfield working hard to secure the ball and feed early to the strikers created quite a few scoring opportunities. It was in the 10th minute that we opened the scoring. The ball was moved through the lines and out to the wide right position then into the D. Maia fed the ball to Isla who connected with the ball first time, a well taken goal in her first match for the team. We continued to dominate the match and won quite a few penalty corners. The Harris GK played well to keep the score at 1 - 0. Katie hit the post from a corner and Maia, Isla, Isla and Rachel all had near misses.
