12. Chris Bonnar - Mens 2s Coach

Here is a little more about Chris.

I played for the club in the 1990s and 2000s. In 2012, I helped Gav Byres with the youth coaching. I then coached the Ladies 3 for a season.

The following year I went as assistant coach with the Ladies 1s to Munich for the European cup.

Since then I have coached the Mens 3s indoor team, the Mens 5s development team, the U14s to runners up in the Outdoor Scottish Cup, the U16s to runners up in the Outdoor Scottish Cup and the U16s to Winners of the HPC Scottish Invitational Indoor tournament.

I currently coach the Mens 2s, the U16s and support Gav Byres with the Mens 1s.

I have played Scottish Masters hockey for the last 8 years. Highlights were winning the Home Internationals at Over 40s, but also captaining the Scottish Over 45s to winning the European Cup, beating Holland and England on the way!

He is also father to Alfie & Lily who are both talented players - both playing as Juniors for Senior Teams. And Alfie is involved in the Brave Academy programme as well as having represented Scotland at U16 level (Emerging Boys)
