Men's 2nds vs Perthshire 3rds. away (0-7)

A solid team performance. Again some lack of basics caused consternation among the senior ranks. Our setup was solid but we lacked that extra quality that we are capable of.

That being said, there were goals for Grove MH in each quarter. Chris Wilson getting the first of the match, followed quickly by Aaron Watts from a penalty corner.

Other goals came from Alfie Bonnar with a fine reverse swipe, Aaron Watts again and two from Murdo Kiddie. Chris Wilson completed his brace with a cheeky nutmeg as well.

Two very credible 2nds debuts for Richie Bain and Scott Fraser. Both looked comfortable on the ball at times and young Fraser set up our final goal with an excellent move down the left before Murdo finished off. Richie worked his socks off in midfield and seemed to get better as the game went on.

Man of the match is Aaron Watts. He covered a lot of ground and many of our attacks came through him. Two goals as well capped off a creditable performance.

A tougher test next weekend against Clydebank 2nds in the Cup.
