Grove MH 2nds vs Wanderers 2s (4-2)

A creditable performance in the sunshine at Dawson Park. 2-2 going in to the final quarter after goals from Murdo Kiddie and Dylan Lothian.

The boys dug deep to repel the Wanderers attacks and produce excellent counter opportunities. Our pace and fitness definitely helped today.

The game was finished off by goals from Dylan Lothian again and finally Archie Macdonald buried the ball in the opposition net to end the game.

Notable performance of the day was Jamie Donald. In his debut for mens 2nds, playing left half, he went toe to toe with some strong players and did not back down. He is in his first year of senior school and playing already beyond his years. His big brother, John, also put in a midfield shift. Well played boys.

Still improvements to be made all round. Coach Bonnar is taking himself off for some zen meditation and yoga for a couple of weeks before our end of season matches after the Easter break. #ATH
